How to join?

 

I. Registration:

 

     1. Register at the Globe Prepaid Booth between 10am – 11am only.

 

     2. If player is a:

          a. Globe Prepaid subscriber, he must undergo a (1) one-time registration to any of the following:

               i. GAMES15: Text GAMES15 to 8888 to register;

               ii. GOSAKTO: Dial *143#, choose GoSakto, pick Clash Royale and register

          b. Globe Postpaid subscriber, he must undergo a (1) one-time registration to GoSurf:

               i. GOSURF50: Text GOSURF50 to 8888 to register

          c. Non-Globe subscribers are required to purchase a Globe Sim and make a (1) one-time registration to either one of

              the following:

               i. GAMES15: Text GAMES15 to 8888 to register;

               ii. GOSAKTO: Dial *143#, choose GoSakto, pick Clash Royale and register

 

     3. Player must sign up with their name and contact number.

 

     4. Each player must play one (1) round online and and win in the fastest possible time. Player will only get one (1) try.

         Top 32 players with the fastest winning time will proceed to the eliminations.

          a. To determine the fastest player, they will be asked to register with their start time and end time. Players must

              sign in agreement to their recoded playing time.

          b. If by the end of the allotted registration time we get a total of 32 players. All 32 players will automatically

              proceed to elimination round.

          c. If by end of the allotted registration time we get less than 32 players, we will extend the registration time until we

              get 32 players.

 

     5. Two (2) Game Marshals will be available to check the player’s requirements. Once completed, marshal will provide

         participant with a tournament band with the following details: a. Player No.; b. Batch No.; c. Timeslot

 

     6. As added security measure, colors of the Tournament Band will change each day.

 

     7. Each day DTI representative will be available to check and ensure mechanics are followed.

 

Overall Tournament Qualifications

 

The following are the over-all qualifications needed for a customer to join Clash Royale Tournament:

  • Registration to Games15 or GoSakto Promo
  • 18 years old and above
  • Must present a valid ID with photo and birthdate: Driver’s License/Passport/TIN Number/Current School ID
  • Owner of a smartphone with system requirement of Android 4.0.3 or iOS 7.0
    • Must have a Clash Royale Account
    • Minimum level 8 of King and Crown Tower
    • Must have at least 1400 trophies

 

Overall Tournament Guidelines

 

The following are the over-all guidelines subscribers must follow during the Clash Royale Tournament:

     1. Registration cannot be transferred to another account or player.

 

     2. At the event of player’s loss or disqualification, any Globe promo incurred during the tournament is non-refundable, non-transferable.

 

     3. Decisions made by the tournament organizers, marshals and DTI representative are final and binding.

 

     4. Players are required and expected to be at the tournament grounds for the competition. Only registered players are allowed to compete and participate in the tournament. Proxies or stand-ins are not allowed to compete in behalf of the original registrant.

 

     5. Players who won the elimination round cannot transfer their slot to another player or a representative to compete in the Finals.

 

     6. Non-registered player caught competing in behalf of a player will be immediately escorted out and the player in question will be disqualified from the competition.

 

     7. Players must agree to join the clan officiated by the tournament marshal and participate in a friendly battle against their pre-determined opponent.

 

     8. Any form of cheating, disorderly conduct and unsportsmanlike attitude is grounds for disqualification.

 

     9. Employees of Globe Telecom, TPAs, Organizers and participating sponsors included but not limited to marshals, assistants, vendors, friends as well as members of the immediate family up to the 2nd degree and of consanguinity or affinity, are not eligible to participate and win. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, grandchildren, live-in partners.

 

Eliminations (Day 1 and Day 2)

 

I. Elimination Round:

     1. Eliminations will take place during the first and second day of the Pinoy Gaming Festival. Actual eliminations will take place at the Globe Prepaid booth.

 

     2. Players for each elimination round which will take place in a 4-hour time span on May 6 and May 7. Each player will be paired based on the Game Marshal’s list.

 

     3. Four (4) pairs will complete within a span of 20 minutes at the Globe Prepaid Booth with estimate of 8 players completing the first round of eliminations.

 

     4. Game duration:

          a. Total game time: 8 minutes

               i.  2 miniutes Preparation Time

               ii. 3 minutes Formal Battle

               iii. 2 minute extension for draw decisions

               iv. 1 minute winner confirmation

 

     5. Winner will be determined on who won the most crowns in one (1) round.

 

     6. For a player to qualify to semi finals, player must win 2 out of 3 rounds during the eliminations.

 

     7. If a round resulted to a draw, players must undergo an additional round to determine a winner. In the event that the players still undergo a draw, players will battle it out again until we determine a winner.

 

     8. Winners of the first round eliminations will compete against other first round winners during the second round of eliminations with the over-all winner competing in the semi-finals round.

 

     9. As a security measure, each result will be checked by the game marshal and DTI representative.

 

2. Semi-Finals Round:

  • The first round semi-finals will take place during the 3rd and final day of the Pinoy Gaming Festival with the tournament held at the Globe Prepaid Booth.
  • Winners of the 2-day elimination round will compete with opposing players as decided by the tournament tree.
  • 2 pairs will simultaneously compete in a span of 2 hours at the Globe Prepaid Booth. A total of 4 players will be at the booth for the semi finals competition.
  • To be able to move to championship round, a player must win 3 out of 5 matches per round.
  • Each battle is given 8 minutes, which includes 3 minutes of formal battle with the option of a 2-minute extension for draw decisions.
  • A player wins the round when s/he has won more crowns than the opposing player at the end of the given time.
  • A round is considered a draw when both players have not received more crowns with the given time extension.
  • Players that under go a draw must undergo an additional round to determine a winner. In the event that the players still undergo a draw, players will battle it out again until we determine a winner.
  • Winners of the first round semi-finals will move to the second round of semi-finals with the Day 1 morning match winner competing against the Day 1 afternoon match winner and the Day 2 morning match winner competing against the Day 2 afternoon match winner.
  • The second round semi-finals will take place at the Globe Prepaid Booth one hour after the conclusion of the first round.
  • Winner of Day 1 Match and Winner of Day 2 Match will compete in the Championship Round. Loser of Day 1 Match and Loser of Day 2.
  • Match will compete for 2nd runner up directly after the semi-finals.

 

3. Championship Round:

  • The Championship round will take place during the 3rd and final day of the Pinoy Gaming Festival with the tournament held at the Globe Prepaid Booth.
  • Only 1 pair of players will compete for the Championship: Winner of Day 1 Match and Winner of Day 2 Match.
  • The championship battle is given 8 minutes, which includes 3 minutes of formal battle with the option of a 2-minute extension for draw decisions.
  • A player wins the round when s/he has won more crowns than the opposing player at the end of the given time.
  • A round is considered a draw when both players have not received more crowns with the given time extension.
  • Players that under go a draw must undergo an additional round to determine a winner. In the event that the players still undergo a draw, players will battle it out again until we determine a winner.
  • Championship winner will be determined directly after the match and will be formally announced during Globe Prepaid’s On Stage program segment.

 

II. Prizes:

 

There will be a total of Php 35,000 cash prizes with Php20,000 given to the champion, Php10,000 given to the 1st Runner up and Php5,000 given to the 2nd Runner Up.

 

III. Tournament-Related Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

 

1. What is GoSakto and Games 15?

GoSakto is a Globe Promo that allows the subscriber to create a personalized promo that meets their daily needs such as calls, texts and Internet Data. Games15 is the highlight promo that allows subscribers free access to games such as Clash Royale and HearthStone.

 

2. When does a player win a match?

A player who destroys the King’s Tower or receives more crowns than the opposing player wins the match.

 

3. What happens in a draw?

A draw takes place when both players have the same amount of crowns or no crowns at all.

 

4. What is an overtime/Sudden Death?

The amount of added time from the original game play to determine the winner of the game. Overtime takes place when both players have the exact amount of crowns or have not received one.

 

5. When does the game end?

The game ends when the timer has run out and is a draw. The game ends when a player has destroyed more Arena Towers than the opposing player. The game ends when a player has destroyed the King’s Tower.

 

6. How do I join the tournament?

Interested players must sign up at the registration area and wait for their time slot. They will receive a voucher upon registration that includes their tournament schedule. Players should be at venue 20 minutes prior to their time slot to participate in the said tournament time slot. They can join the next set of schedules provided that there are still open slots.
