Samsung unveiled its newest duo of Galaxy Tab S tablets at a New York press event today. It was introduced along with three accessories: two covers and a Bluetooth keyboard. Now that's cool!

Here's what you need to know about the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S:

Display

It's the first to feature a high-res Super AMOLED touchscreen tablet with a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution which comes in two size variants: 8.4 inches and 10.4 inches. The new tablet has an adaptive display which means that the white balance will change based on the ambient light. The screen also has less reflections in outdoor settings according to Samsung.

Software

Tab S runs Samsung's version of Android 4.4 (KitKat).

Power

Battery life is said to last for 11 hours of continuous video watching for both the 8.4 and 10.4 tablets. The Tab S runs on Samsung's own Exynos 5 Octa-Core mobile CPU that splits duties between a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and 1.9 GHz quad-core processor, respectively.

Memory

The Galaxy Tab S base models come with 16GB of built-in memory and 3GB of RAM. It also has a microSD card slot for adding memory up to 128GB.

Features

Samsung Galaxy Tab S with its own magazine platform called Papergarden, features a new widget for a personal timeline with your notifications and your calendar alerts in one place.

What's neat about the new Galaxy Tab S is that it comes with a fingerprint scanner. Eight people can use fingerprints to log into different profiles on the device.

The Tab S can also pair with a Galaxy S5. The tablet can mirror its screen in a smaller virtual window, letting you make and answer calls on the tablet via speakerphone once paired thanks to SideSync via Wifi Direct. You can also use this feature to transfer files and run apps.

Did I mention it also comes with a multi-window view? With this feature, it allows you to run two apps on the screen in different windows at the same time.

Cameras

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S packs an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with flash and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chats.

Accessories

The Book Cover weighs half a pound and comes in four colors: electric BLUE, glam RED, charcoal BLACK, and titanium BRONZE. It features a number of folds that enables users to bend and angle the cover in three different ways to prop up the tablet for easy viewing. On the other hand, the Simple Cover is one solid flap with no folds which only weighs 0.2 pounds. This is clearly lighter than the book cover since it only wraps around the bottom edge, leaving the camera exposed. Lastly, the ergonomic Bluetooth keyboard can attach to the tablet with a clasp and can also be used as a hard shell tablet cover.
