Hey guys! Are you starting to feel the “brrrr” as we are nearing the month of December? As a matter of fact, it’s just less than a hundred days before Christmas! I’m pretty sure all of you are looking forward for the presents and gifts you will get. But at the same time, are you all set for the presents you’ll be giving your friends and relatives? If not, here are a few tips to help you prepare for Christmas shopping:
1. Save money.
This is a no-brainer tip. Saving money will help you not feel the guilt of overspending for sure.
2. Make a list
Jot down the names of the people you want to give gifts for Christmas. No need to feel guilty if you can't include all your friends on the list. You can classify them according to groups such as family, friends, and co-workers to avoid leaving anyone out.
3. Set a budget and stick with it.
This goes hand-in-hand with tips #1 and 2. Based on the money you saved and the list you made, you better set a budget that will serve as your guide. Make sure to put a reasonable cap on the amount you will spend per person on your list. Also, one piece of advice: “It’s the thought that counts!”
4. Shop early.
Some say that you should wait when malls have already announced a “Christmas sale.” Of course, there’s a wider selection of affordable items to buy but just to warn you... it’s not going to be an easy, breezy Christmas shopping for you since there will be lots of people anticipating this mall-wide sale. So, my suggestion is you better shop early. It doesn't mean you have to finish shopping early for your Christmas presents, it just gives you a head start so you will not go panic-buying.
5. Go online shopping.
For easier and a more convenient way to shop, you can also explore shopping Christmas gifts online. This saves you time especially if you are the busy kind of person who do not have the luxury of time to buy presents. Just make sure all the items you purchased will be delivered on time.
6. Go “app-shopping.”
Now, if you think that online shopping limits you in terms of options and accessibility, maybe you should try “app-shopping.” Have you heard of GDeals?
