For a long time and even until now, coffee shops has been one of the go-to places of people – students,  young professionals, long-time friends, and families – everyone spends an hour or two to stay in a coffee shop with a single-handed coffee cup. If you’re like me, I usually stay in Starbucks or Coffee Bean not less than two hours while doing my work-related deliverables and sometimes even just to spend my “me-time.”

But recently, a number of emerging coffee shops offer more than a “place to stay” for customers to study, work, or read a book while enjoying their cup of coffee. Have you recently heard the term “Third wave coffee shops”? Yup, that’s what I am talking about. These coffee shops, as compared to the ones people usually go to, showcase coffee as an artisanal beverage than a basic commodity. In other words, it is coffee being appreciated at its finest.

While Starbucks, Coffee Bean, Seattle’s Best, and the like are offering the usual morning coffee experience, a place of brainstorming sessions and focused studying, third wave coffee shops elevate people’s love and appreciation of coffee’s beauty and cuisine.

Here’s a list of some third wave coffee shops which is definitely making waves in the hearts of coffee lovers and all over social media:
