For others, Holy Week will be the time for them to take a few days off to rest and relax. If you ask me, this is also a great time to explore your street. Since most of your neighbors will be out-of-town where the crowds are, why not take your camera out for a test drive around your village. We all know it's been sitting at home collecting dust for months now. If you don't have a DSLR camera, your trusty smartphone camera will do just fine.

Now your outside your house. Next thing you have to do is to observe your surroundings and look for interesting subjects to photograph. If you're feeling adventurous but not really planning to join the huge crowds in beach resorts, well you can visit a local park instead.

If the park isn't your thing, invite a friend or two to go on a photowalk with you around the city. Besides being with like-minded individuals who share the same passion in photography as you, your friends can also act as your models.

Take advantage of the empty streets in Makati during this time. When was the last time you've seen the busy streets of Makati look like a ghost town?

After a long day, I'm sure you've taken a lot of #latergram photos to post on your Instagram. Have you ever thought of taking pictures indoors? Pour yourself a cup a joe as you unwind at home. How about take that #dailycortado shot first before you enjoy your coffee. Don't worry if it gets cold or if you make a mess, as long as you've taken that perfect shot, it's fine.
