This month marks the first year partnership of Globe and our favorite music streaming app, Spotify. And to celebrate this, the two brands have launched a campaign that can further push Philippine music forwards.

Introducing Spotify Emerge, a campaign set to locate the country’s next OPM star.  The event, currently running now, is a way to expose the wonderful talents of Filipinos when it comes to creating music.

Spotify Emerge will showcase ten local rising artists. We have: Shehyee, Marion Aunor, Kito Romualdez, The Ransom Collective, December Avenue, Save Me Hollywood, Midnight Meetings, Kai Honasan, Jeric Medina, and Paolo Valenciano. These rising stars will battle it out to become today’s biggest Pinoy music icon. Only one will emerge, and you have the power to help choose the winner.

Globe and Spotify are giving you 60 days to help your favorite Pinoy music artists achieve victory. You can either share the campaign on Facebook and Twitter, follow your chosen artists on Spotify, or listen to their songs through the music streaming app. The artists who have the most attention and listens get higher exposure on the site ph.spotifyemerge.com/. And every week, the list of ten up-and-coming stars will be trimmed down until a winner is chosen.

Globe Senior Advisor for Consumer Business, Dan Horan, said in a press release:

“The Philippines is home to some of the world’s best artists and performers, and Globe is very happy to be working with Spotify on this program. Spotify Emerge aims to discover music’s next big act and expose the wonderful talents of Filipino musicians to the rest of the world. As the purveyor of the Filipino digital lifestyle where we give customers access to their passions such as music on their devices, we are excited to see Filipinos conquering the centre stage once again using the power of technology with Spotify Emerge,” said Horan.

Let’s all gear up for Globe, Spotify, and the Filipino music industry!
