Truth be told I’ve never been this excited for a Marvel film since the first Avengers movie.
Age of Ultron was spectacular, sure, but for some reason it wasn’t as “fun” or satisfying as the first one. Maybe it’s got to do with the darker tone of the film, or perhaps it’s the so-called “superhero fatigue”. One or the other. In any case, all my worries fly out the window when it comes to Captain America: Civil War.
Civil War will see the return of several superheroes from Marvel’s past films, including Iron Man, the Falcon, Scarlett Witch, the Vision, the Winter Soldier, Ant-Man, as well as the Marvel debut of Spider-Man and Black Panther. At this point we know so little about Black Panther. But all this is about to change as the world gets its first look at his trademark costume on the set of Civil War.
Thanks to Andreas Meyer who posted the photo on his Instagram account, it appears the Black Panther’s final costume adheres very closely to the mock up that Marvel revealed last October. CG-enhancements and some color correction are obviously missing, but I’m certain the finished look is going to be nothing short of awesome and menacing by the film’s final cut.
Captain America: Civil War opens on May 6, 2016. Expect more set photos to hit the internet in the coming months.
