The long wait is over folks! The Korean tech giant just unveiled the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

Both devices sport a similar look from its predecessors although there are slight improvements to their hardware worth noting. Of course, you can expect a bigger display, a higher capacity battery, and more RAM at 4GB. The two phablets runs on Samsung's Exynos 7420 octa-core processor. You can either choose from the 32GB or the 64GB storage variant. Unfortunately, expandable storage is out of the question. (But I guess that's what cloud services are for.)

Fans of the Note Series will surely love the added functionality with its S-Pen stylus. As you can see from the photo above, you can already write down notes on the locked screen. How cool is that?

Samsung also introduced "Apps Edge" on the S6 Edge Plus which lets you quick launch apps. Just swipe on the shortcut bar and it shows you apps you've recently used.

Design

The premium materials you love from the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge with its metal-and-glass design can also be found on the new Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus, far from the previous plastic covers we're used to seeing on earlier models. The Galaxy Note 5 is available in white pearl and black sapphire while the S6 Edge Plus comes in gold platinum, black sapphire, and silver titanium.

Both devices rocks a 5.7 inches Quad HD AMOLED display with a 2,560x1,440 pixel resolution and a pixel density of 518ppi compared to the 5.1 inches display on the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

Camera

Photography enthusiasts and selfie addicts can surely appreciate the 5-megapixels front-facing camera and the 16-megapixels rear-facing camera on both devices for sharper images. Periscope better watch out since Samsung is bringing the ability to do live streaming on YouTube right from the native camera app.

Battery

With a 3,000mAh battery, heavy gamers will enjoy not only the long battery life but also the fast charging and fast wireless charging capabilities.
