We spend more hours on the road nowadays than anywhere else really. I can't wait for the day when we no longer need to drive our cars. No, I'm not talking about having another person to drive for us. I'm referring to self-driving cars.
Google now has someone to run the technical side of its self-driving car project. They have hired John Krafcik who is an auto industry veteran and now the CEO of its autonomous vehicles division. Krafcik have previously worked at Ford and ran Hyundai's US car business for five years. Then he went to run TrueCar which is an online shopping site that helps people find cool deals when buying a new car.
With this news, it's only a matter of time when self-driving cars will dominate the roads now that Google's X Lab project has its own CEO. Does this mean no one needs to learn how to drive in the future? Share your thoughts in the comments.
