Apple March 2016 Event.jpg

In case you missed it, Apple had a Keynote event a few hours ago. They introduced a new 4-inch iPhone, a 9.7-inch iPad Pro, and new Apple Watch bands. The event took place in Apple’s legendary Town Hall.

For those who were lucky enough to attend Apple’s March event, the iPhone SE is a device as powerful as the iPhone 6s, but in a 4-inch form factor combined with the chamfered-bezel edges that we love about the 5s. The iPhone SE comes with Apple’s A9 processor and an M9 co-processor under the hood. Plus, you get “Hey Siri” voice control and Touch ID-enabled Apple Pay. Photography enthusiasts will love the improved rear camera on the iPhone SE which now sports a 12-megapixel sensor, 4K video, and Live Photos. On the other hand, the FaceTime HD camera has a 1.2 megapixels sensor and 720p video similar with the 5s.

The iPhone SE comes in Rose Gold aside from the usual Space Gray, Silver and Gold variants. Everything you love about the iPhone 6s now comes in a pocket-friendly size.

Next, let’s talk about the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. Imagine an iPad Air with all the powerful specs of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro but without the extra weight. For accessories, you have the Apple Pencil and a Smart Keyboard to play around with. Now if you’re looking to replace your iPad anytime soon, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro may just be what you've been waiting for. The bigger 256GB storage, Rose Gold color option, True Tone screen, and 12-megapixel camera are much-welcomed improvements for sure.

Last but not the least, they introduced a number of new bands for the Apple Watch including a Sport alternative, coated-black Milanese, and many new colors. The Woven Nylon bands is a great alternative for the Sport bands and is said to be light and feels better than the traditional NATO bands. The Classic and Modern Buckle now comes in Marigold, Blue Jay, Marine Blue, and Red while the Milanese Loop now has a Space Black option.
