It’s been a year since Google released a smartphone—well, two smartphones—in the form of the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X. These devices boasted supercharged specs and, of course, the latest version of Android then.
Today, the powerful search giant once again announced their latest take on the modern smartphone: the Google Pixel.
Yup, that’s right! Nexus branding no more! Google’s newest smartphone comes in two flavors – 5-inch and 5.5-inch, the former dubbed “Pixel XL”.
Aside from the screen size difference, both the Pixel and Pixel XL sport almost the same specs side-by-side:
For Community members who aren’t techies, I can tell you this phone is so fast you can easily throw any application on it without a hitch. As for photography enthusiasts, the Pixel is guaranteed to capture extremely detailed and vivid photos—DXOMark Mobile ranked it with a score 89, higher than the iPhone 6s which scored 86.

Also, Google Pixel is available in three *funny* colors:
The Pixel runs Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.
So what kind of features can you expect from the Google Pixel that will make it stand out?
The Google Pixel and Pixel XL will be available in the US, Canada and UK starting November. They’re already accepting preorders. In the Philippines I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. These brand new toys from Google will probably arrive here by January.
Farewell, Nexus. You will be missed.
