Let’s make history together as Globe Community is proud to announce that we are going to Cebu this December for our first-ever gathering of independent short filmmakers!

Inspired by the rich and colorful tapestry of the local Cebuano community that breathes new life to their indie art scene, Globe Community—in partnership with User Council and Globe Studios—aims to recognize the works of our talented and upcoming independent filmmakers.

We are organizing a short film workshop and private screening of GIFF entries on December 6, 2016 at _SUGID Screening Room, A SPACE Cebu. The workshop will be facilitated by none other than our very own local artist – the esteemed director Quark Henares!

Starting November 14 until December 2, we are calling all interested participants to upload your original short film on YouTube, Vimeo or Facebook and share the link on this thread. Among the entries, two (2) will be chosen to be showcased and reviewed by Quark Henares during the workshop. This hour-long workshop will be followed by a private screening of all GIFF entries, and dinner will be served afterwards.

All submitted entries on this thread will be promoted on our Globe Community homepage following the event.

To qualify, your submitted entry/entries must be original and no longer than twenty (20) minutes in length. We accept previous entries from other film contests, and the work may be new or belonging to the artist’s portfolio.

Our Globe Community members based in Cebu are also invited to attend this event which serves as our official Christmas get-together!
