When we avail of a new handset from telcos, they are often carrier locked. It is a way to prevent the use of the handset on other telco networks. This is understandable since handsets are often subsidized (minimally) by the carrier. The problem arises when we complete our contracts.
Solution: Optional carrier unlocking after contract period.
Who is the target customer: All postpaid and prepaid subscribers who availed of a mobile phone from the carrier.
