    Offenses and Penalties

For your usage guidance, outlined below are the different classifications of possible offenses in the forum.

      Class D Offenses

      • Off-topic posts - always make the proper comments/replies to the right topic and always stay on topic.
      • All-caps /Excessive punctuation marks – posting in all caps is the written equivalent of shouting. The same goes when using excessive punctuation marks (!!!!!, !?!?!) When seen by others, they may not be able to get your point as you intended. Post properly while applying and observing good punctuation and syntax. Brief and straight to the point is the best way to go.
      • Excessive bumping of posts - Bumping a thread means replying to your own or somebody else’s thread to put it on top of the cue. This is allowed, but doing it too many times a day will not only unnecessarily lengthen your thread, it is also tantamount to spamming.
      • Signature image violations - Keep images for your signature within the prescribed dimensions: 350x150px (including text captions), and 500x200px (for full text signatures) and a 50kb file size limit.
      • Posting huge photos, videos or files - In relation to the rule regarding signatures, this is also a must: Post pictures in thumbnails as much as possible. Or better yet, use the spoiler tags.
      • Report Abuse button – It is best to use this button properly. Make sure you report a thread only if it’s inappropriate or do violates the Community’s rules.
      • Spamming/Posting unrelated or unhelpful posts – avoid posting non-sense discussions and useless replies like one-liner comments that do not help in the topic nor answer the question.
      • Proper Capitalization - Extensively using sTiCkYcApS in replying, especially the sHrTnD (shortened) style, will fall under this rule. Using this to mention competitors, illegal activities and profanity is NOT allowed.
      • Petition posts – posts that promote petitions are not allowed in the community, and will be deleted once seen. You can send a message to our moderators or community managers for suggestions, so they can be quickly review and consider.
      • Posting technical or troubleshooting related concerns – For assistance on concerns like these, it’s best to post them in the proper forum boards for quick action.
      • Any offense(s) similar to the above

      Class C Offenses

      • Flooding -This is similar to spamming; the only difference is that the same comment/content has been posted in the same thread successively.
      • Posting about locked or deleted threads/Moderators’ decisions in public – all members are suggested to respect the moderators and not question their decisions in public.
      • Deliberately posting inappropriate or incomprehensible content - Always make your posts understandable to other members. If you do plan on posting content that is not generally understandable, post a translation.
      • Any offense(s) similar to the above

      Class B Offenses

      • Obscene or Vulgar posts – These posts may be in form of pictures, avatars and signatures. Avoid posting such as these might offend other forum users.
      • Impersonating a Moderator or Community Manager – If found guilty, your account will be sanctioned depending on the gravity of the situation.
      • Inappropriate names (e.g. names with profanity or vulgar words, etc.) - As with the obscene and vulgar posts rule, it applies to names, too.
      • Antagonism (deliberate hate posts without an acceptable basis) – These posts may cause unnecessary conflicts. If you do have concerns, kindly message any moderator or community manager. They will be more than happy to help you with your concern.
      • Harassment or Defamatory posts/topics of any kind toward any member – One of our goals is to keep a peaceful and orderly Community. Posts of this kind can be libelous, too.
      • Flaming/Flame baiting - In making argumentative posts, it is better to stick to the topic and to the issue at hand. Do not insult your fellow members. Also, posting content or replies that will bait members into flaming you is equally destructive, too.
      • Distribution of personal information without permission from the owner – Everyone must value account security and privacy. Try avoiding these kinds of topics.
      • Any offense(s) similar to the above

      Class A Offenses

      • Publicly Quitting Community Threads – Telling your fellow members through posts, replies, or blogs that you’re quitting the Community or leaving the thread is not advisable. Remember that we all want to make Globe Community as positive and lively as possible.
      • Impersonating a known community member, moderator, community manager, or Globe employee - No matter the reason, impersonation of any employee/representative of Globe is prohibited.
      • Trolling - Trolls are accounts created for the sole reason of flaming or causing disruption to a community. These accounts will be permanently banned; and, upon investigation, the main account as well.
      • Evading suspensions and bans, and creating troll or bogus accounts - Like in any other forums, disrespecting and going against the decisions of Globe Community is strictly prohibited. All members are expected to follow the guidelines and display proper behavior.
      • Misinformation - When making posts/topics with sensitive information or with a sensitive topic, make sure you have proper and verifiable sources. Remember that the difference between fact and opinion counts as well. False claims will be dealt with accordingly.
      • Threats to any member, Moderator, Community Manager or Globe Employee – Posting threats or any form of bullying is strictly prohibited here. If you have a concern that needs instant attention, let us know immediately.
      • Improper sexual/racial/ethnic or violent posts – It’s not okay to post violent content that might affect or insult fellow members or people of other nationalities.
      • Posting or advocating cheats, hacks, third party programs, illegal trading of pirated software and hardware, etc. - We value proper use of our products and services. These posts are not allowed - no matter what the reason may be.
      • Commercial advertising of any form or kind - Globe Community is a place for discussions; posting any advertisement of any kind is strictly prohibited. If you want to advertise something, please message our moderators and community managers first before posting.
      • Exploiting loopholes in rules - The rules are there for a reason. We all have to follow them.
      • Gambling - Keep the forum free from any form of gambling.
      • Plagiarism – Make all your posts original. Copy-pasting from other forums will not help as this is a form of stealing. Even with a disclaimer or that you have asked for permission from the author, make sure to secure a screenshot of the PM/message allowing you to post them here.
      • Rebellion - As with exploiting loopholes, this is a much worse offense as it involves other people violating our rules.
      • Any offense(s) similar to the above

      • Class D - Written Warning (either via PM/Posting on related thread) and removal of post/thread/item involved plus 1-3 Days Post Moderation.
      • Class C - 7-Day Suspension of Account plus 3-7 Days Post Moderation
      • Class B - 30-Day Account Suspension plus 7-15 Days Post Moderation
      • Class A - Permanent Account Suspension
      • Post moderation durations will depend on the gravity of the offense.

Note: Each successive offense of the same level will merit the penalty for the next higher offense. For example, if a user has committed a Class D offense twice, his next penalty will be from Class C.
