TroyAcosta May 29, 2013 3:01 AM (in response to meetmarvin)ang bilis maubos ng battery ng akin. more that a month pa lang yung phone. 1 month and 10 days to be exact. -
Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (N7100) Users
meetmarvin May 29, 2013 6:02 AM (in response to meetmarvin)Hmmm.. when you say mabilis maubos yung battery mga gano katagal usually inaabot ng phone mo bago madrain battery? On an average use? When I say average use, does this include gaming? sakin po kasi call, text, browse (around 4hrs total a day), bihira na ako maggame now. -

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (N7100) Users
yahdanv Jun 3, 2013 1:33 PM (in response to meetmarvin)To all Note2 LTE users.. are you guys really using globe's LTE sim, is it compatible with Note2 LTE? Why is my Globe LTE sim is not working on my Note2 LTE? There is no mobile network and it can't even recognize the sim. I can only do call and text.-
Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (N7100) Users
itachi1 Jun 4, 2013 6:07 AM (in response to yahdanv)Samsung has released an update for that. You can download the firmware here and install it via Odin. Most users solved similar issues afterwards.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (N7100) Users
meetmarvin Jun 4, 2013 8:01 AM (in response to meetmarvin)You guys may also want to check Tasker for Android. It can automate almost everything in your phone especially when you rooted your phone. Try to check this YouTube video for Galaxy Note 2 and Custom Tasker Profiles. This app is worth every peso or you can just download the APK for free. Your call. I paid for it to support the developers. It can automatically turn on your wifi, send SMS, switch to silent mode when your phone detects specific location (home, office, etc. - I'm using location given by network provider than GPS to conserve battery). Feel free to post your tasker profiles here. Also, if someone here knows how to enable Note 2 switching 2g/3g via tasker, it will be a big help for me. I rooted my phone but still no luck.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (N7100) Users
Dx Jul 8, 2013 10:55 AM (in response to meetmarvin)Hi Guys,
Can want to ask if you're experiencing the same problems with your Galaxy Note II which I have listed below:
- 1. USB is not detected via PC (eventhough Samsung Kies/drivers are installed)
- 2. Does not charge (both via USB and wall charger)
My phone is only 6 months old and it started malfunctioning, i.e., not being detected via USB, around 4 or 5 months time, and just yesterday, it does not charge anymore. I tried hard-reset and still it doesn't work. I've also tried different chargers/USB cables but to no avail.
PS. My phone is rooted, will this void my warranty?
I'd appreciate quick responses before I go to the service centers.
Thanks!

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (N7100) Users
meetmarvin Jul 11, 2013 11:46 AM (in response to Dx)Basedon your situation there's a possible defect on the hardware if it is not charging. Have you tried different compatible chargers? My suggestion is try unrooting your phone before bringing it back to service center. You can use triangle away app for clearing the counter of your revision. Everytime you change your ROM that counter will increment. Service center will see that you modified it and it will void your warranty. Other than that if you restore it back you're good to go.

meetmarvin Jul 17, 2013 2:14 PM (in response to itachi1)Yeah, also checked that article. I don't see any big benefits so far in terms of 4.1.2 to other versions. Let's just wait patiently. By the way, I suggest you guys to install drippler so you will be updated on the latest news with our model.

Why the wink? :-P
Does Globe do these kind of tests too? It would be nice if you're as open as those Aussie carriers and give status updates for, well, software updates.
-
Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (N7100) Users
itachi1 Jul 24, 2013 9:54 AM (in response to Neil)LOL I put the wink there since (maugong na) rumor lang naman sya... not to be taken seriously.
Your question is as good as mine, despite me being a Globe employee. AFAIK in the local scene, software updates come from Samsung itself. Ang ibang foreign carriers test on their own since their phone versions are different from each other (Verizon Note 2 vs. Sprint Note 2 vs. US Cellular Note 2). This is also an opportunity for them to introduce what others may call "bloatware" on the update.
I guess one way to look into your question is this: If we don't do these tests with Samsung, they wouldn't have come up with the local N7105 ROM, which only works with Globe Note 2s (I've read somewhere in XDA either there's no data signal or no signal at all if used with another local telco).
Lastly, yeah it's nice if we could be as open as the foreign telcos but I've read somewhere that majority of subscribers in any telco wouldn't care about updates at all, as long as their phone works (true even for non-Android users). I guess that leaves us in the minority then

notevenfollowed Sep 28, 2013 10:36 PM (in response to madeline0620)Mabuhay Pilipinas!
@madeline0620

ajyambao Jan 6, 2014 10:27 AM (in response to meetmarvin)Good morning. Since I updated to 4.3, my Note 2 coudnt recieve calls and txts. There's signal at the Signal Bar but it says Couldnt Registet to Globe network. It's been a a week. What should I do?-
Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (N7100) Users
itachi1 Jan 14, 2014 9:22 AM (in response to ajyambao)That's a bug on the early 4.3 builds. Check your IMEI (keypad>*06#) if it was changed to 0049***. If so, you may have to reflash your modem. Hope this link helps.
