    HACKED AGAIN

    MatsuNyan
nawalan ako bigla ng internet kagabi... then when i checked the router page, nag iba IP and nag reset sa def ang user at pass ng modem ko. i thought sira lang ang globe or something. pero when i type yung orig user at pass ng modem ko, nag reredirect sya... tumawag ako sa globe ngayun lang, and i ask what happen, then sabi ko i type naman the right user at pass. then sabi iba daw yung pass ng modem. nag iba... it was changed kagabi while nawalan ako ng internet... GLOBE, since pinakabit ko yung dsl till now, yung nag hahack ng account ko ng paulit ulit di padin pala nawawala.

              MatsuNyan,

              1. Your gateway is busted, ask globe to replace your gateway (modem/router) to a new one, busted gateway might/will reset on its own and also resets its factory defaults.

              2. TR-069 technology, ISPs today employs this kind of technology to their CPE to reduce maintenance by letting their CPE report to them on a random basis, basically they (ISP) can issue a command to one area to report to the server and correct any errors if it can still be done remotely. If not ISPs will do nothing (you will call them anyway once you noticed your internet is down/slow)

For the user/pass issue, I don't know if its illegal here to share the  admin user/pass of different kinds of CPEs, anyway you can always ask Google!

di kasi po ito ang first time... nung pinakabit ko po yung dsl ko nung MAY 1. may problem agad, it was sold to other people, according sa technician na gumawa... baka daw yung installer nung line ko.. kasi agent lang kami nag apply e.

Well, you can try the steps below:

                    1. login to router
                    2. change the SSID on wireless
                    3. change the wireless key to a more complex key by using special characters ([email protected]#$%^&*) also add an upper case letter combined with a lower case letter and a number. (this will ensure that any dictionary attack to take forever to crack)
                    4. make sure you are connecting to your SSID (some attackers can pose to have same SSIDs to gain your wireless key via network sniffing) ex. abel and cain network tool.
5 (recommended) you can enforce MAC address filtering on your router instructions can be found by asking google.

                    Goodluck!

:smileysad: Sorry but don't worry. Change of the password is the best option

yap... the best option is to "change the paaword"

you call customer service hotline 211 on your globe phone, 171 through globelines

through account specialist of globe they can change your password that you will provide, save to the system and you will key in to your modem

after you reconfigure the modem what they told you.. the password will be save to your modem

                          • Re: HACKED AGAIN
                            kulot

usually kapag ganiang problem technicians are not allowed to take actions or to go into your house and do something....they wait instructions pa sa globe center. So why would they say na hindi pwede palitan ang modem kung sa palagay mo ay nahack nga.mattrace naman nila yan kung hack unless their one of the non loyal ones
