    Do my sim supports LTE?

    DennisCasiño

I currently purchased a GS4 with a postpaid plan. Recently in Makati, my phone do not detect LTE. So i looked at my settings and LTE setting is on. So i looked at the holder of my sim and there is no 4G LTE label there just the plain Postpaid SIM 128 XL but i saw in the internet that some of the holder has a label 4G LTE.

          Hello, DennisCasino.

You may want to check with the hotline or Globe store if your LTE is already activated or if your sim card is LTE capable.

And yes, the holder of the micro sim issued by Globe for my #GlobeBlackBerryZ10withLTE has a label 4G LTE.

          Have a nice day!

Hi DennisCasiño to enjoy Globe LTE your sim must have 4G LTE mark on it if none have it change to any Globe Store its FREE and you should insist since Globe marketed S4 with unli LTE ask also the agent to have your sim LTE service be activated.

Can my existing postpaid sim become LTE-ready once I decide to go for an LTE plan?

                Hello, sledgehammer.

You may give the creature slithethroat his much needed thumb Up for his reply.

To Enjoy Globe LTE, the following must be met:

You need an LTE capable device just like the GlobeBlackBerryZ10withLTE.
You need to have a Globe issued LTE SIM with the correct size for your device. Size does matter.
You need to have your new LTE SIM and LTE services activated via Globe Store or Hotline. I don't recommend calling the hotline. Some creatures in the hotline are a bunch of *some text missing*
Please take note, you need two activation.
You need to insert your Globe issued LTE SIM to your device.
You need to be in an LTE powered areas with your device.

Please refer to these links for more details.

                http://www.globe.com.ph/lte

I know, the link says it's for Iphone 5. Globe has favoritism.

They should have one page for LTE applicable for all devices.

                What you don't need:

You don't need to be good looking, but if you are, then you are not alone.
You don't need to subscribe to any surf plan to enjoy LTE. You will just be charged with the normal rate per minute or per kb. But, if you got your device from Globe Under the My Super Plan Or the Best-Ever My Super Plan, you will be required to have an Internet combo or booster.

                Hahahahave a nice day!

                      Can you acquire 4G signal?

                      May I know your location?

Please check the list of LTE powered areas here:
                      http://www.globe.com.ph/help/data

                      BTS:

Try to reselect Globe manually on the network operators.

Settings>more settings> mobile network> network operators> select manual > reselect Globe then monitor if you can now acquire 4G. 4G is the network indicator for LTE for ANDROID devices. :smileyhappy:

Settings> more settings > mobile network > APN >click the myglobe internet APN > look for the data bearer > switch to LTE :smileyhappy:

Hello, based on the customer service representative that I've talk with, my sim card was still not lte provision and they promise that will work on it but until now I can't still detect lte signal. When i always tried to call on 211 those CSR always says that my sim card was still not lte provision. I think they didn't do anything about my concern. Its almost a month now since i got my this plan.

@Melroni the best way is to visit a globe store to check your sim, baka kc sim yung walang provision instead sa account mo.

                                Hi @Melroni

I advised you to have your simcard replace via the GTBC and ask them to activate the LTE at the same time with the simcard.. :smileyhappy:
