    Settings for Prolink H5201

      Dati Prolink h5200 ung modem sa bahay meron link dito http://tattoo.globe.com.ph/modem-installation-guide

       

      Due to normal wear and tear at sa tagal na nung modem sa bahay (4yrs judging by the billing numbers) bumigay na. Walang power kahit ung adapter kapag tinest ko using multimeter wala na talagang voltage..

       

      So they replaced it. (xempre)

       

      But ngaun di ko na alam pano isetup ang wireless router ko (personal) Im using Edimax router (exact product details here http://www.edimax.com/en/produce_detail.php?pd_id=371&pl1_id=24&pl2_id=89 )

       

      Dati dun sa prolink h5200 ok naman.. It's as easy as plug the rj cable from modem to the router. tapos set the router to dynamic ip (never tried pppoe) and its good to go..

       

      Pero nung napalitan na nila ng Pronlink h5201 ayaw na makaconnect ng router ko. Kahit sa 192.168.254.1  (modem configuration page) ayaw makaaccess nung pc ko).

       

      Do you also have these problem? Or meron ba kelangan baguhin sa setup nung modem to allow my wireless router?

      Kahit ibang wireless router setup, Baka mapagana ko rin.

          To all Globe Administrators or future subscribers or whatever kung sino makabasa nito.

          DONT AVAIL THE PROLINK H5201 modem for your connection.

          I tried to call technical support regarding the modem configuration para makaconnect ang wifi router ko. Syempre magagaling ang technical support ng globe.. All they can do is provide basic trouble shooting. Packaging Sheet of Paper naman oh. So to say na kung hindi makaconnect ang personal router ko wala na kayong pakialam? Basta nakakaconnect ang PC ok na un? What an answer..

          Eh how about this situation.? Sige nga.
          If ever isa akong may-ari ng computer shop. Mga 3 to 4 units. So kelangan ko lang ng simpleng wifi router with 4 lan ports para makaconnect sa internet ang mga pc ko. Before ok ung router pero nung nasira at pinalitan nyo ng bago. Suddenly ayaw na makaconnect nung router ko sa modem nyo. Ano un pasensyahan na lang kasi iyan ang binigay namin na router sayo? Paano naman ang business ko na dati ok naman? Since hindi naman nasira due to costumer's fault ung router nyo na matagal na, papalitan nyo ng bago tapos hanggang sa isang pc lang ang pwedeng iconnect dun sa router hanggang dun na lang kayo? WOW.. Packaging Sheet of Paper talaga..

          Sana naman ayusin nyo customer support nyo.. Saka system nyo on how to handle this kind of situation..

          If any Admin can read this I hope you would provide a solution.. 2 weeks na ako walang internet sa bahay. Una nasira ung lumang router. ngaun di makconnect kahit tama ung username at password ko. pero kapag iniba ko password nareredirect ako once i browse..
