Hi Mendel, yes you need to..ensure your ios software is updated. You can also call globe hotline or twitter to have you sim checked and lte activation request.

Follow the steps below:
1. Call 2200 toll-free using your Globe mobile phone.
2. Provide your 11-digit mobile number.
3. Provide the 16-digit SIM serial number you wish to activate. Your SIM serial number can be found behind your new Nano SIM card.
4. Your new SIM card will be active within the next 2 hours. You may lose signal coverage on your current SIM card once the activation of your new SIM is ongoing. When this happens, please wait for 15-30 minutes, then replace the SIM card in your phone with your new Nano SIM. Be sure to switch your phone on or off as needed to refresh your connection to the Globe network.
If it does not work, please call 211 or Tweet @talk2Globe for them to manually do it on their end.

Hi! Can someone help me to activate my globe postpaid sim card. I have called 7301000 for the activation of new acquired sim. According to the voice prompt my sim will be activated with in 24 to 48 hours. However until now I can't us my globe postpaid sim card
Hi! Nagavail kami ng postpaid plan599 with (j2 prime LTE sim) thru agent tumawag sila samin. Natanggap namin ung handset and sim last march 21 (wed) and until now hindi pa din activated ung sim ko. Nakailang tawag na ko sa hotline puro report and follow up lang ang ginagawa nila. Please help! Thank you
