For a small company like Htc, it's having hard time to meet the demands due to the choice of material--aluminum housing which takes time to assemble. Kudos to samsung for opting polycarbonate build which is easier to manufacture for their phones. Also, there was a rumor of droping sales for HTC Ones due to quick drop of price other competing phones after several months of release--HTC cannot drop price of One due to premium material used. As a result, consumers opt for much cheaper phones. Less demand means lesser supply from HTC.
