@ChristopherTanMortal yup al services of GLobe are subject to FUP, kahit postpaid suscribers na naka unlisurf tulad ko. But i dont worry about the cap since im using naman may data service for normal use (no torrent, no downloading of large files like movies). more on browsing and streaming lang.
There's no "Tattoo Postpaid" on the said FUP, and I'm currently having more than 1gig a day and my speed is not being throttled.
Some said that Tattoo Pospaid isn't included on FUP. Take a look at this thread:
As I mentioned in that same thread, one has to be included in the top 5% users in a specific congested area to be affected. - The FUP as stated:
"In an effort to optimize the mobile surfing experience for the majority of Globe subscribers and offer a great customer experience to all users, Globe reserves the right to slow data speeds of the top 5% of data users at high traffic and highly congested times. The vast majority of users will never experience these slowed surfing speeds and even those that fall within the top 5% be slowed by the smallest margin possible and only when the system is overtaxed. With this policy, all users will have access to the internet and only those that heavily strain the network on a regular basis will have limited surfing speeds."
The problem is how to know whether we are on the top 5% of a high traffic and high congested area and your guess is as good as mine and we could only make educated assumptions that as long as we are not downloading heavy stuff 24 hours a day then we would not probably fall in that dreaded 5%."
Again, it is the right of Globe to implement such but then again they may not implement it and lucky are those who would not be affected just like you and me...
