    Application/Approval Process

      Hello. Can someone please enlighten me as to how the application and approval of postpaid applications work, especially if it is submitted directly to a Globe store?

       

      I went to Globe Gateway Mall (Cubao) last November 21, 2013 to apply for a Space Gray iPhone 5S postpaid plan (P1799). I submitted all the needed requirements (2 valid IDs, COE, bill for broadband internet). I was then told to wait for a call or text message from them for 2-5 days. That time frame has passed, yet no one contacted me.

       

      I decided to follow it up last November 29, 2013 on the same Globe store. I asked for the status of my application, but the representative (name is Richard) could not give me a definite answer. He told me to wait for another 2-5 days. I got pissed off, but I just walked away because I really wanted to go home and take a rest after a long day's work.

       

      When I got home, I decided to call the Sales hotline (730-1010) to follow up and know what really the status of my postpaid application is. The customer service representative informed me that my application has not yet been submitted. When do walk-in postpaid applications get encoded into Globe's system? Naka-tengga lang kasi dun yung mga requirements na sinubmit ko, so I really need to know what really goes on in this process. Are they waiting for stocks of iPhone 5S to be delivered to them before they actually start processing the applications? If this is the case, then I think I should pull out my application from Globe Gateway and search for another store that may have available units at the moment.

       

      I hope someone can shed some light on this matter. Thank you.

          @MrNiceGuy Hi! sa Globe Gateway Mall (Cubao) din ako ng apply ng postpaid acct ko pero mabilis lang naman, originally yung cousin ko ang nag apply, after 2-3 days ata yun she received a call regarding her application then we went to the store and she just pulled me to come with her and brought all req needed which I submitted when we arrived after I filled up some necessary form, then the agent/rep told us to be back after an hour.
          Hour later we approached the woman who assisted us then after 10-15mins our name has been called to the cashier and paid the cash out needed then after that our units had been given to us.

              Ako Sept 7 pa ako nag-apply, wala pang iphone 5c/5s nun ha. December na, still being processed pa raw. Di ko alam kung namimili sila ng pagbibigyan. Malabo din CSR nila kahit sa broadband, a day before Yolanda may tumawag na CSR sa amin para i-convince kami na i-upgrade yung broadband namin to ultra-highspeed, then ni-enumerate ng CSR mga perks sa pag-upgrade: printer, cellphone, etc. I said yes pero sa sister ko kasi nakapangalan yung account sa sister ko so I said tatawag ako the day after nalang kasi nasa school pa sister ko (she's a teacher). Kinabukasan, dumating si Yolanda, nawala sa isip na tatawag dahil nakatutok ang attention sa mga nangyari. Then 2 days after that nun ni-try ko tumawag pero yung line sobrang busy, i thought na marami tumatawag dahil nga sa bagyo tatawag na lang ako pag ok na. So a week after nag-tweet na lang ako sa talk2GlOBE asking them na paki-confirm kung yung ultra highspeed upgrade ba is wired or yung parang wimax lang, wired dsl lang kasi ang gumagana dito sa amin, yung 3g, 4g, wimax (pati yung bro) they don't work within my area kasi. then i mentioned yung perks na sinabi ng CSR sa akin, only to be told na there was no such promo or perks. So sabi ko na may tumawag dito sa amin na ganun ang sinabi, pinagliban ko lang ang confirmation dahil nga nasa work pa ang sister ko. I asked them to confirm na yung call. 2 days after (yes 2 days after) dun pa lang may nag-reply sa akin na i-ignore ko raw yung tawag dahil di raw galing sa Globe yung call na yun, nanloloko lang daw. I said paanong nanloloko, in the first place wala namang hiningi sa akin na money, and yung rep asked me if she could send yung parang letter of intent sa sister ko I said di ko alam ang ginamit nya na email address, then yung rep told me that she will use yung email address na lang daw na naka-register sa system, she then specified that to me which i confirmed na yun nga ang tamang email. Bakit alam ng rep yung email address ng sister ko kung nanloloko lang yun? Then I told them walang ibang tumatawag sa amin kundi GLOBE lang, hindi naman ginagamit ang line namin, habol lang talaga namin yung dsl. Sa totoo lang walang ibang tumatawag sa amin kundi mga Globe reps, nag-aalok ng ganito, ganyan, and one of those calls nga was an offer for postpaid subscription. My sister got her postpaid subscription from those calls. I swear hindi yun prank call.  Ang nakakainis lang di na naman namin habol kung ano man perks, gusto na namin magpa-upgrade ng broadband pero confirm muna kung wired nga or hindi, hanggang ngayon wala pa rin silang reply tungkol dun. Feeling lang na parang may pinipili yata, to think na mag-uupgrade naman ako, so kahit paano additional income para sa kanila, then about sa postpaid 4 months na parang di naman nila inaasikaso, I told them na capable naman ako sa pagbayad, di naman ako natakbo. Parang di naman nila nakikita loyalty ko, wala naman kaming utang, updated sa pagbayad, di naman ako mareklamo sa kanila, pero right now parang pinararamdam nila na wala kang kwentang tao. Nakakapagtaka lang dahil nababasa ko sa internet na yung iba, after na ma-approve subscription nila binebenta yung phone and then di na nagbabayad talaga. Those kind of people napakadaling ma-approve. Samantalang ako, this is my first time ever na magkaroon ng postpaid subscription and I chose to go on with them because I believe in them, may capacity naman akong magbayad and I cannot run from the responsibilty just because I can't for some reason. Nakabili na ako ng phone pero I am still hoping na maaprove pa rin yung application, regarding my dsl subscription, i asked them kung kailan matatapos ang contract namin, it ended pala June pa. I hope they realize na tapos na contract pero nagbabayad pa rin kami dutifully just because we love their services. (Sensya sa haba ng kwento). Thanks.

                  pero kung GBC lang din ang pag uusapan eh bakit ganun ako nga nag apply na mismo sa HQ nila eh 1month na wala padin.tingin mu pag nag apply pa ako sa mga branch nila eh mas mabilis? hehe

                              So unfair, tumawag sa amin rep ng Globe only to tell us na nawawala daw ng branch mga pinasa naming mga requirements. 4 months kami naghihintay, every week sinasabi sa amin na pina-process na daw tapos wala naman pala. Sana una pa lang sinabi na na wala. Hirap lang makipagtalo, wala ka namang mapapala. Papa-cut ko na rin dsl subscription namin. :smileysad:

                                naku baka pati sakin nawawala na din ng hindi nila alam!!!..huwat??!! hehe mag two months na yung akin wala padin! :-(

                                  Hey guys! For those who haven't gotten any update on their postpaid applications, the best way to do now is GO TO ANOTHER GLOBE BUSINESS CENTER. I recommend SM NORTH and GREENBELT 4 because they have available units 99% of the time unlike in the other GBC's, where you'll really have to wait. Also, bring as many requirements as possible. Just prove to the reps at Globe that YOU CAN REALLY PAY.

                                    Best Thing to do is to prepare all the requirements that they might need, go directly to a store, dress up like a professional(kasi magaling sila mang fiscriminate) and act like a professional/talk like a professional. That way, you'll be assisted properly and they'll process ot right away. You might get your phone right away too.

                                    Again, don't wear "pambahay" or anything that will trigger them to not assist you.
