We kick off the New Year with a look to the future, and the new barriers that will be broken down by the sheer magic of modern technology.
And what better way to catch a glimpse of what’s to come than to catch the highlights of the annual International Consumer Electronics Show 2014 held in Las Vegas.
Day one of four held true to the promise of mind-boggling gadgets and thingamajics, big and small.

Samsung Galaxy TabPRO and NotePRO
Samsung introduced 4 new additions to their Tab and Note lines – the PROs. NotePRO’s screen measures 12.2 inches while TabPRO comes in 3 different screen sizes: 8.4 in, 10.1 in and 12.2 in. These gadgets use the new magazine-inspired interface called Magazine UX.
Sony Xperia Z1 Compact
Sony introduces Xperia Z1 Compact. The new Z1 features a 4.3-inch 720p display (smaller than its predecessors) and equipped with Sony’s proprietary CMOS image sensor “G Lens” now at 20.7 MP – the world’s best camera in a compact smartphone. It is available in 4 different colors: white, black, pink and lime.

Huawei Ascend Mate 2 4G
Huawei thinks big, too! Last Monday, January 7 (along with Audi and Intel), Huawei Ascend Mate 2 4G made its debut. Fashioned with an improved 16.1-inch IPS panel which shows better resolution. On top of that, it can actually charge up other devices too!
ChefJet 3D and Chef Pro 3D
Amidst the self-driving cars and the new laptops, our attentions were drawn to something called ChefJet 3D and ChefJet Pro 3D.
ChefJet 3D is a printer that prints out food. Seriously.
Stickers are no longer just for labeling. You can now use it to locate your things with Phone Halo’s StickR TrackR. Track your stuff on the map or just simply tap the button on your phone to make the stickers beep. For more details, follow this link. Watch the hands-on here.
