Ang FUP dba slows your speed to 2G? Hindi ba jinojoke mo lang kami?

What I'm trying to show you guys here, inspite globe implementing their mobile data cap para daw maayos yung data traffice, e bakit mas lalo pa atang sumama yung internet connectivity at speed nila. Kung dati consistent ang LTE nila sa ortigas area, ngayon laging nagffluctuate and I can get as low as Edge speed connection. And btw, I haven't consumed my 3GB for this month yet, so yang pinost kong screenie ko normal speed nila yan ngayon.

Eto pa isa, nagscreenshot uli ako today. Baka kasi sadyang mabagal lang kahapon. Grabe ang lala ng upload speed nila >.<

If ever nagddoubt kayo, you're free to do the test yourselves.

Ngayon ang signal ko changes from 4G down to as low as E. Bihira pa lumitaw yung 4G signal, mas madalas naglalaro ang speed ko between H+ and H (almost fixed sa H).

Tsk! Tsk!

FUP was supposed to improve their network.

"will experience browsing at slower speeds."

                            Good day

Actually ako today, 17 Feb 2014, ko lang nalaman yang FUP na yan and that a 1 Gig cap was strictly implemented last January 2014 daw sabi nung naka usap ko sa hotline nila. The agent added, NTC approved naman na daw. My thoughts lang, why would they implement this now, samantalang noon when i signed up for this wala naman binanggit sa akin yung naka usap kong agent from Globe na meron ganyang cap. Is this true? If that's the case kasi parang "unfair" yang FUP na yan. Browsing? I don't get it.

Globe's FUP has changed my life and utility spending... by spending more -_-... but not towards them *Long Post Ahoy!*

Anyways, ever since Globe has implemented this policy, I have lost my only source of backup internet in our area and thus stuck with the awfully slow Competitor's pocket wifi. I live in Binan, Laguna and as you all know, there is no PLDT or Globe Wired internet services here (due to the Local Telco AND the local government "protecting" the Telco ). Only the extremely slow PLDT myBro, Globe WiMax and their Mobile Internet offerings are the ones that circumvent this.

Globe's LTE has coverage in our house and I pay P999 + Other Usage for my other Internet. My original plan before this FUP was implemented is to migrate all my internet needs (and in good faith my Money) to Globe. I plan to sign up for their Postpaid LTE Tattoo. I would have liked to dedicate all my services to them instead of that other network. However, with this very dickish move, I have been cut off and I felt quite betrayed.  I don't get why Tattoo would have the 3GB/month cap when it's intended for Heavy Data Use!!

Biting the bitter pill, I signed up for Wired DSL on that Telco. It's P2750/month for 2Mbps. It's expensive! But at least they are 2Mbps all the time and they do not impose any form of FUP... I didn't go download crazy but the absence of the cap allowed me to let my home network do usual stuff. If Globe didn't impose this policy, I might have paid this amount monthly to Globe instead. Until now, I still maintain my Competitor's Pocket Wifi and bring it when I go to work. So in a sense, instead of giving all my Money to Globe. I just gave them to somebody else that won't really betray me.

My Contract is almost up, but I won't leave Globe just yet. I'll just re-arrange my plan just to make sure I won't be spending anything greater than P999 (unless I purchase apps) then opt for a shorter contract without a phone. My Utility from previously P2500 a month has skyrocketed to P5200 a month -_-.

                            Whew that was long!
