You can actually replace the old sim with a mico-sim for free, just visit any Globe Business Center and present your old sim and an ID.
Or you may call 211 to check if the new sim uses same mobile number, if it uses the same number you can ask them to activate that new sim.
another question. Considering it to be a dual sim phone, is it only for Globe networks for both sims or not?
Slow down XD.
1. When you switch to a new SIM, you will have your number intact.
2. Leave the new SIM in your phone for a while. It is still activating. Takes roughly 2 hours. Your Old SIM will be deactivated immediately as soon as you transfer.

Just in case your new sim is still not activated, you may call the hotline for activation. you just have to make sure that there is no pending orders on your account prior to your recontracting/loyalty request. And yes, you will still have the same number and your old sim would not be reactivated after the new sim is already activated.
just visit nearest globe business center for the sim replacement if you are the account holder bring valid id and your sim card just present your defective sim card there and they will replace it with new one.. your number will retain in your new simcard
after you get your new sim card call globe hotline to request for activation
then they will process the activation of your new simcard
just wait after 24 hours for the activation of new simcard
*before requesting for activation make sure to back up all your contact because you cannot retrieve all contacts after the deactivation of the old simcard
*after request for activation insert your new simcard and reboot your handset after 24 hours
*old simcard will not be reactivated after it has been deactivated
hope it would help.
