As long as that the device is unlocked it should work. The only issue that you need to determine is what is the supported network and LTE band that iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 plus have specially if it is sold in Japan, UK or at any country aside from the Philippines. So to make it simple the best is get an international version of iPhone.

Not all iphones are the same... they may vary in the frequencies they use, network mode (GSM vs CDMA like in some US and Japan carriers) LTE bands (Philippines uses bands 1,3, 5 and recently even 7, 41 and 42).
The safest is still to purchase from the country your are from or if not, make sure that the unit you purchase will have the same standards as that of the Philippines. (Makes you wonder why the world did not standardize everything for simplicity right? Simple...They just want to make a lot of money )

hi xanxus_0311 you can check Apple's official compatibility list here Apple - iPhone 6 - View countries with supported LTE networks.
PH is not yet in the list since the new iPhones are yet to be launched here but check where Singapore is listed. PH should be the same.
Just the same, the iPhone 6 and 6+ several LTE bands already. PH telcos would support Bands 1, 3 & 5. Globe supports LTE Band 3 (1800MHz) while SMART supports Band 1 (2100MHz), Band 3 and they say Band 5 (850MHz). For your concern, you should have a GSM model (not CDMA) A1586 for iPhone 6 and A1524 for 6+, unlocked of course. These are the Global/International models.
I recommend you either buy from Apple Singapore store or Hongkong.
