In your Statement of Account, the following are indicated:
Previous Bill Charges (where total remaining balance or unpaid billed balance from previous bills are indicated)
Current Bill Charges (where your total current or the immediate billing period charges are indicated and specified in your statement)
Adding up BOTH would give you the TOTAL AMOUNT DUE which is supposed to be paid in whole.
You might have just paid the amount which was current (Total Current) and failed to pay the previous bill charges and the reason why your line was suspended.
By the way, the guard's duty is to make the premises secure and though his intentions are nice, it might still be better to ask an authorized Globe customer representative.
