It is called prorated, basically you will start paying your exact MSF on the next billing cycle. As for the advance payment, it will be applied on the last month of your contract.
taft_guy, zyper95 is correct in saying that the MRF/MSF is prorated from Dec29 to Jan5. Obviously, your bill cut-off is every 5th of the month. So on your first bill, there is a prorated MRF from Dec29-Jan5 and a full MRF (advance) from Jan6-Feb5 and by this, your first bill amount due would just be that of the prorated MRF. The billing will be normalized on your second bill, unless you have charges incurred on top of your MRF.What you will have to clarify by calling 211 on your phone for free is the amount of your handset cashout - 4200 was charged instead of 2400?
