Cannot make phone calls and send text messages

I bought my iphone5 from Japan last week. But I got the globe nano sim just last day. For the very first time I used it, I cannot be able to make phone calls and send text messages. I tried to activate the iMessage and FaceTime but it just says 'activation unsuccessful'. I really need help!

  the problem is I have no idea about the sim number because my husband lost the card.

    ginggingrazel You may try to call another number. By doing so, you'll be able to know your number because of the caller ID feature available in today's mobile phones.
